Should Britain Scrap Their Law to Give Anonymity to Sperm Donors?

In 2005, Britain had scrapped the law that protected the anonymity of sperm donors and allowed children to learn the identity of their donor fathers. This move was welcomed by those seeking to find their biological parent. However, sperm donation has dropped in numbers since 2005 and this has resulted in a shortage of sperm donors in Britain. This was a direct result of the law which granted children access to information about their biological parent. According to the figures from Human Fertilisation and Embrylogy Authority, the sperm donations had dropped considerably. In 1991, Britain logged 503 sperm donors and then in 2006, after the law was changed, the number dropped to 307. Experts have warned that Britain needs 500 sperm donations per year to cope with couples' demands of donor insemination in Britain.

The law that was introduced in 2005, has both negative and positive aspects. The positive being, it gives those seeking their biological parent a right to do so. It also give access to those who want to know any medical history that they may have taken on from their biological parent. It also increases the possibility of avoiding unintentional incest, which itself is an ethical issue. However on the other hand, the negative aspect of the law is that desperate measures may push couples to seek illegal means of obtaining sperm donation from unregistered clinics.

The accounts of many donor children should also be taken into consideration when pondering on whether this law should be scrapped or not. Several newspapers and magazines have ran stories about those who were born from donor and their experiences as donor children. Most of their accounts carried a similar tone of being 'different' from other children. The experience of not knowing their biological parent and the pain of not having a 'normal' one mother and one father upbringing.

Should Britain scrap the law to give anonymity to sperm donors? Britain should not remove this law but at the same time, should not ignore the demands of donor insemination, which is quite a serious issue. There needs to be some sort of regulation of giving assurance to sperm donors, who may not be comfortable without anonymity.

Knife crimes on the rise in the UK

Hardly surprising. London has always been a centre of attraction for youth and gang related knife crimes. According to a BBC source, tougher laws will be implemented in 2009. This will see that criminals will get tougher jail sentences. Judges will have more power to decide on punishments. Asides jail sentences, stricter community service will be introduced with a heavy sanction on curfews and personal liberties. Personally, I am not in favour of community service. For me, it means a cop out from actual jail sentence. A criminal won't learn much about the seriousness of his crime from doing community service. That is like saying to a child, you're grounded but you can still go out and be back before a time deadline.

I am not a fan of Tory party. Never liked them. However I appreciate their efforts in raising awareness about knife related crimes and how it is on a rise. I appreciate the fact they seem concerned about this. I like and support their proposal of introducing automatic presumption of jail for knife possession. It is harsh, but it is necessary. I rather see someone go to jail than to see someone getting killed. Harsh and selfish, but for me, saving a life is more important.

In 2007 and 2008, a lot of teenagers in London have died from knife related crimes. I used to read about them in the newspapers all the time. I rather we adopt the 'its better to be safe than sorry' approach. I also support the stop and search tactics. I think it is very necessary. Youth and suspicious looking folks need to be stopped and searched on the spot, where ever they are. Police should be tough and be given full support by the government and all political parties.

The UK government is already doing what they can but I feel that increasing the age limit to 18 to buy a knife, doubling the jail term isn't enough. We need to do more. We cannot rest until our streets are safe from such crimes.

Sufism vs Taliban: Claiming Pakistan

Having being inspired by recent articles debating on the issue of Talibanisation and whether Sufism could be the answer to counter Taliban in Pakistan, I decided to do an evening of quick research into this area to put forward an argument that Sufism may be able to eliminate Talibanisation of Pakistan. Pretty optimistic and yet naive of me to even consider this, but I have my reasons, as you will all come to know.

First of all we need to understand that Sufism has been around for centuries, much older than Taliban, which is a recent phenomenon. Just like Taliban, Sufism isn't a particular sect of Islam, its a movement. Unlike Taliban, they are non political and non violent movement, dedicated to religion. Sufism offers a more personal and experimental approach to worshipping God, which is a stark contract to the fundamental and regimental approach of the Taliban.

Pakistan and Sufism share a rather ingrained connection with one another. They share a rich history together, which deems them inseparable. Punjab and Sindh are the two most populous provinces that share a rich history of Sufism. Sindh had Shahbaz Lal Qalander, while Punjab had Bulleh Shah. To understand what exactly are the aims of Sufism, here are the points taken from the website (link provided at the end):

: To free religious thought from the rigidity imposed by the Ulema.

: To emphasise in the Islamic teachings the elements of God’s love and mercy for His creation, rather than His wrath and retribution.

:To practise what one professes and not merely indulge in slogans and soliloquies.

:To stress the essence of faith rather than mere observance of formalities.

:To move away towards rural areas from the evil and debilitation effects of wealth, monarchy and bureaucracy concentrated in big cities.

:To demolish the edifice of false values based on pelf and power and restore morality to its proper place in the niche of Muslim society.

:To combat the fissiparous tendencies and centrifugal forces which were spreading their tentacles in the Muslim world.

:To discourage parochial feelings and eliminate racial pride which had assumed primary importance in Muslim thinking relegating the ideal of brotherhood to a secondary place etc.

These are the eight aims important to Sufism. Taliban on other hand, doesn't seem to have a religious aim other than to enforce Shariah law. They have a political expansionist agenda, especially concerning Pakistan. They seek to establish a puritanical form of Caliphate system that neither recognise nor tolerate forms of Islam divergent from their own, such as the Shia sect. They despise democracy and any form of secularism, which they feel is against the very fabric of the religion. Taliban’s Islam is closely knit to Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabism, albeit more strident and hard lined. Taliban Islam appears to be self serving and is historically inaccurate. Although Taliban aren’t one singular force and that there are many groups that come under the banner of Taliban hardliners.

Sufism and Taliban are both two extreme ends of the pole. One offers a rather mystical approach to Islam and the other offers a regimented Puritanical approach to Islam. Now the question lies, can and will Sufism counter Taliban, as Pakistan faces two extreme on the religion front? The optimism in me would say yes. An interesting article by Farangis Najibullah toyed with the idea of Sufism bringing peace into the region of Afghanistan. In his article, Sayed Ishaq Gillani, a prominent Afghani politician believed that Armed forces have done little to defeat Taliban and that it was time to try something different. He believes that Sufism can offer a non violent way to defeat Taliban. Strangely enough he mentioned that majority of Taliban in Afghanistan were Sufis, mostly followers of Qadiriya and Naqshbandiya movements. In fact, Taliban Leader Mullah Omar himself was raised a Sufi before embracing a more severe Wahhabi Islam followed by Taliban. I find that hard to believe. Furthermore to this article, the writer explored that war in Afghanistan had never been about religion. It had always had a political and geopolitical motive. If Sufi leaders can organise themselves and bring Taliban into talks about political solutions, their influence could indeed be significant.

With regards to Pakistan, could the same method be employed and be successful at the same time? Well, we haven't actually 'seen' if that method has been a success in Afghanistan in order to set a precedent for Pakistan. Earlier in March (2009), a Sufi shrine was bombed in NWFP by Talibans, who felt they had to make their presence known. Its about time our Sufis mobilised themselves and counter Talibans through appropriate communications, before more shrines are abused in the same manner. Last year in the Summer, 300, 000 people attended Sufi festival in the Sindh, as compared to a couple of thousands who witnessed beheadings in NWFP. This goes to show there is immense following of Sufism, its a matter of mobilising people and pushing them to promote the real message of Islam, and that is of peace. There won't be any immediate results. This may take years and years of consistent hardwork to finally see a result. In Pakistan, fighting against Taliban, nor appeasing them had been fruitful ventures. Its time to try something different, just as Sayed Ishaq Gillani had mentioned. It is a long shot, but its worth a try. Taliban has given us Pakistanis a bad name. Ask any westerner about Pakistan or Islam, and immediately Taliban would come into their mind. Many non Muslims don't even know that Islam has a softer side that is less projected in the western world. Sufi Islam is a lesser known phenomenon in the West. Sufism owes Pakistan this. It need to save Pakistan and its Islam from being crudely exploited by Taliban and to restore the rightful image of Pakistan and Islam in the world. Can and will Sufism do this for Pakistan? Only time will tell. However time will tell whether Sufism or Taliban will be the rightful claimers of Pakistan.

Top 8 Earner's Google Adsense.

Are your curious to know who some of the biggest Google Adsense earners are? I know that I was interested to know who the best are so I could check out their websites and see how I could possibly earn as much money as these people do. I realized from most of these sites that sites with user generated content usually ranked pretty highly for Google Adsense earners. It seems that these “community type sites do tend to get a lot of traffic and we all know that traffic = money. So without any more delay here are a list of the top 8 Google Adsense earners as collected from online resources. Please note that this list might be a bit outdated but it has lots of useful information still.

1. Markus Frind - PlentyOfFish.com - $300,000 per month

If you haven’t heard of this guy yet you should check out the website plentyoffish.com. He is the person who created this free online dating website from his appartment all by himself. His website soon become one of the largest dating websites online. I have actually tried out his website myself and can see how it can be interesting and attract a lot of visitors. The graphics and layout of the website is nothing fancy at all but the functionality is all there and its fast to use.

There have been many of doubts that he wasn’t making that much money so he made those people silent by posting a picture of his paycheck on his blog. According to his blog check represented two months worth of Adsense earnings.

2. Kevin Rose - Digg.com - $250,000 per month

Kevin Rose started Digg.com in December 2004. It is a social marketing site that is mostly news, video, and pictures that are submitted by users for other users to read about and view. Basically what happens is you can signup for an account and you can submit a “news story and other people can view it and if they like it they can “Digg it and this boosts the rating of the post. If it gets enough Diggs it will appear on the Frontpage of the site and will get tons of traffic. Digg has both Google Adsense ads and Federated Media ads. It is estimated that he earns roughly $250k a month from Adsense alone.

3. Jeremy Schoemaker - $140,000 per month

ShoeMoney is considered to be one of the greatest Internet Marketers out there. He is very good with search engines and knows how to setup his sites to get optimal traffic to them. In one of his best months with Google Adsense ShoeMoney earned $132,994.97. You can imagine it was probably pretty difficult for him to cash a check of that size!

Unlike most of the other Google advertisers ShoeMoney makes his money from hundreds of sites and thousands of domains.

4. Jason Calacanis - Weblogs, Inc. - $120,000 per month

Jason Calacanis is the creator of Weblogs. Weblogs is a network of blogs and it was apparently making roughly $4,000 a day from Google Adsense! He eventually sold the company to AOL for a reported $25 million. He also announced his retirement from blogging earlier this year (July 2008). He is now focusing on his email campaigns instead.

5. David Miles Jr. & Kato Leonard - FreeWebLayouts.net- $100,000 per month

According to a Washington Post article these 20 year old’s claim to be making $100,000 a month from their site FreeWebLayouts.net which offers free Myspace templates. That is pretty impressive for a couple of young guys that are offering free Myspace templates!

6. Tim Carter - AskTheBuilder.com - $30,000 per month

Tim Carter is a licensed master plumber and carpenter with his own radio show. He started his website up in 1995 with his primary focus to cater to an avid following of fellow builders on the site. In April 2004, Carter learned about Adsense for content sites and he put it on his site. With minimal effort and time he optimized his website and his Adsense earnings grew from $1,500 to $7,500.

There was a Google case study done on Tim Carters earnings with Google Adsense. You should definately read it by clicking HERE. Read the results section because it gives a bunch of helpful tips on how he increased his revenue with Google Adsense.

7. Joel Comm - e-book - $24,000 per month

Joel Comm is a get rich quick guru. He wrote an e-book, What Google Never Told You About Making Money with Adsense. With his e-book and his website he earned $23,458.46 between Nov 2005 and Dec 2005. Check out his Google account stats here.

8. Shawn Hogan - DigitalPoint.com - $10,000 per month

Shawn Hogan is the creator of the forum DigitalPoint. This forum is a very usual forum with lots of information about: Search Engines, Marketing, Business, Design & Development, and Products & Tools. In a New York Times article it stated that he was making roughly $10k a month with Google Adsense.

The members of his forum speculate he is now making around double of what he was making in 2005 when this report was published in the New York Times.

So there you have it, the Top 8 Google Adsense earners. This list might be slighty out of date and there could be some new people in this list but this is the list I was able to pull from collecting information on the net. So check out these sites and see if you can strive to earn as much as these people do with your website or blog.

Champion Kidnaper.

Critics isn't one of my hobbies but people think my critic on different issue is something unnecessary for the society. But Criticism is a part of speech and people has yet not realized what really freedom of speech means.

Well this isn’t reason I am writing this blog . Today morning I heard in the new’s that after politician’s sportsmen have also started a campaign to defame the country’s charm. A Former Karate Asian champion from murdan and swat was arrested and the act was kidnapping the high profile merchants of Kharadar Karachi.

The abducted four people including two cloth merchants were recovered in a joint operation carried out by Anti-Violent crime cell and CPLC, The cloth merchants were abducted from khayaban-e-shehbaz DHA on March 14.2009 and demanded a ransom of RS 50 million for their release. Which became RS 5 Million in the end with a threat if there will be no money provided the abducted merchants would be slaughtered. Imran’s father Haji Zakir Rangeela president of katiana memon jamat is a known Personality. And the case was registered at gizri police station and AVCC is now investigating case.

Dispute like kidnapers from swat in Karachi can be alarming to the law enforcement agencies in Pakistan. Now these agencies should have a wide look whatever has happened in current and past do they have some links with the frontier or not?. A Champion turned Kidnapper in Pakistan is a slap on the faces of those who think there isn’t an extremism and criminal activity in SWAT. There should not be any doubt in any person’s mind that Swat and region of Northwest frontier province has become an institute of criminology and promoting extremism for any militancy.

sovereignty of Pakistan in danger

Currently Pakistan is passing through internal political crisis and yesterdays Supreme courts verdict against sharif brothers have caused more instability in the political system and have heavily effected the RECONCILIATION process between the political masters of Pakistan .
Specially after the press conference of mr nawaz sharif which was very immature crisis have take pace .

Pakistan already facing the problems in tribal areas and government have failed to handle the situation infect government have surrendered it self in front of pushtoon Talibans and peace pact have been made on the condition that Talibans were allowed to impose there SAHRIAT in the NWFP and FATA region it means state with in a state have been formed.

On the other hand balouch separatists in thr province of Balouchsitan are on the full pace and giving tough to Pakistan army internal conditions are more weaker in balouchistan

Now in Punjab we might seem some thing like this in near future this is alarming situation for the sovereignty of Pakistan .

Price hype is killing every common man , prices are increasing day by day and we may witness food crises and then the fuel crisis very soon and with fuel crisis we are already facing power crisis and it may increase in near future .
Another untouched issue is the increasing unemployment in Pakistan and it is increasing with every passing day which in result will increase the crime and corruption .
Rich man is getting more richer and middle class person have become poor and getting poor day by day now there are only two classes in Pakistan High class and lower class and no middle class.

If the issues were not handle with peace then we might see geographical crisis
And to deal with all these issues there is only one solution to all these crisis and that is
More Provinces should be formed on the administrative level and these provinces must be given provincial autonomy with out it it would be very difficult the deal the current crisis .

Leader's Of Pakistan

Politics has become Pakistan national sport. Hockey seems like past and cricket is almost impossible in the current situation in Pakistan. So Pakistani leaders has become player’s, Pakistan is a Ground and we all nation is crowd and we are giving them a big round of applause in every round. But what’s the reality? This reckless game of time wasting and making the nation cry in fact has forced the people of Pakistan to sell their body parts and sometimes their own children’s as well. There no foul no lbw no green nor red card for these player when they win’s they become presidential office bearer’s and other does long march’s because he failed to have that seat.

Even knowing that the economy is falling rapidly and the border’s of Pakistan isn’t save anymore. A hundred of drone’s attack is been done inside Pakistan. No doubt there are extremist and terrorist hiding in the save heaven inside Pakistan but why our own government isn’t taking any actions against them by their own. I found a reason which Is lack of Political will of our leaders. No leader is agreed to compromise with other leader. They are more tensed and curious for their own cases and review petition’s against disqualification.

Nawaz Shareef former prime minister of Pakistan is now a day’s bit relaxed as the long march has finally ended and government has accepted to have a review petition against disqualification of shareef brother’s.

If Chaudry iftikhar the chief justice of Pakistan is today on seat is because of Shareef brothers. It was never possible that he would be reinstated without political support of Shareef’s. The Supreme Court decision on shareef’s review petition is a question mark itself. The case has challenged the integrity of the courts.

A leader is required to this nation, once there was a nation is search of a land. Today we have land but not a nation to choose a right leader for them self. A man having Swiss accounts and billions of dollars cannot represent middle and poor class masses of this country. Even thinking that would be absurd. How can this is possible.

The mayor of Karachi can be example to the people of Pakistan that an ordinary guy can transform a ordinary city to a mega city just will and a good leadership is required. The prosperity of Karachi has something to do with the right leadership, a leader is not someone who just walks into your doors and asks for your vote. A leader is a Teacher who guides the nation gives it a will whoms job is to guide a way to the prosperity and development to the organized and civilized society.

Mr Altaf Hussain has always talked about the national unity and in the greater interest of the people of Pakistan. He is alarming the nation of every fear, which Pakistan would have to face in future. If there would be no national politics He is the only leader of Pakistan whoms politics and leadership is leading a part of Pakistan to a prosperous, developed, educated and the most civilized Pakistan.

Taliban ask NGOs to Leave Swat.

The Shariya law is been implemented on SWAT and its nearby region and peace process is at its beginning. People of SWAT has highest hope’s that the shariya law will bring easy and cheap justice. In fact its just a dream yet. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has virtually imposed a ban on all the non-governmental organizations (NGO) working in the Swat Valley, as it has asked them to leave the region immediately. This doesn’t came into my head why NGO’s aren’t allowed to work there in SWAT. Islam doesn’t forbids helping others and providing medication to those who needs it. The other thing i thought may be these NGO’s are working against Islam and the other moment I realized helping out others and medication isn’t something against Islam or against Islamic Law’s.

But TTP Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has said the way of working of the NGO’s was against Islam and it is not acceptable to it.“NGO is another name for vulgarity and obscenity. They hire women who work with men in the field and in offices. This is totally un-Islamic and unacceptable,” TTP spokesman, Muslim Khan said.

Khan strongly opposed the presence of foreigners in the region.” They come and tell us how to make lavatories in mosques and houses. I’m sure we can do it ourselves. There is no need for foreigners to tell us this,” The Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying. When asked that why the Taliban has been opposing the polio vaccination, Khan said: “It (vaccination) causes infertility.” A Men who doesn’t know what really polio vaccination has to do with children’s does know its has drawback as infertility.

Then the real concern came out .the major reason why the Taliban was against the vaccination is that the vaccines were manufactured in foreign countries, perhaps that spokesperson of taliban doesn’t know the money they are using for terrorism and the weapons they are using and the bomb are also foreign made they didn’t made it their self. If they are really so much self made so they should give up fighting with these foreign made ammunition and supplies and money. And should fight for their so-called rights and culture with 550 AD swords.

Talibanisation in karachi

If Karachi is being ‘Talibanized,’ Pakistan is in real trouble, and so is everyone else.
Many Pakistanis make little distinction between al-Qaida and the Taliban. Both want to destabilize Pakistan and Afghanistan, establish an even bigger base of operations and spread their aggressive, intolerant vision of Islamic law. The majority of people in Karachi want no part of it. Karachi is Pakistan’s economic capital, the center of the nation’s fashion, high-tech and media industries.Estimates of Karachi’s population range from 12 to 18 million. The lack of accountability makes the city a great place to hide.

Due to increase in the activities of terrorism the country is going towards anarchy and it is the need of time that all political, religious parties and whole nation should unite against this menace and fight against it jointly.

Pakistan is passing at a very critical juncture when whole country is in the garb of terrorism, suicide bombing and explosion have become daily routine. At some places the security and police personnel and some other places innocent citizens including men, women, (young and old) and children are being targeted and given blood bath. The innocent mothers, sisters and daughters are being made widows/ orphans.

Many Religious and political parties deny the fact that there is Talibanisation in Karachi but there are some proofs

Even the Taliban's commander claims that there is strong network of Taliban in Karachi. In Karachi Shopkeepers were frightened and harassed after being received warnings to close down their businesses from Taliban's. Taliban's hanged banners in Medina Electronics Market and Ittefaq CD Market situated in Banaras Chowk to close down the markets. They also started Robing people and beating anyone who wears "Pant shirt".

But still our government, political and religious parties seems to be blind on this issue.

Another woman killed over honour

Twenty six year old Quratul Ain eloped from her house six months ago, marrying the person with whom she intended to spend her entire life with. However, her dreams fell short when she was shot thrice in the name of honour.

The rental house where the deceased along with her husband took shelter in is located in the Gulshan-e-Ghazi within the jurisdiction of Malir City Police Station. Quratul Ain was killed in this ‘shelter’ house at around 3:00 am on Sunday when two armed men knocked on her door. Her husband was in the shower at the time; hearing the knocking she opened the door. “She recognised them and tired to flee but the men shot her thrice in her back,” SHO Jehangir Maher told Daily Times. The culprits easily fled the scene when the deceased’s husband Sheraz came out from the bathroom after hearing the sound of bullets and Quratul Ain’s screams.

Not only did her dreams come to an end but her husband’s as well. He helplessly watched his wife take her last breaths in front of him. It is pertinent to mention here that this is the second incident of honour killing in the last seven days. Earlier, on February 22, Elahi Bux surrendered himself after brutally killing his elderly sister Shehla Bibi in the name of honour within the jurisdiction of Korangi Industrial Area Police Station.

Quratul Ain’s body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, however her husband took it away without legal formalities and an FIR No 48/09 was registered against the two unidentified men on behalf of Sheraz. The couple were Iranian Balochis; they met a long time ago and gradually fell in love. The deceased used to visit her aunts house located in Salaar Goth, close to Sheraz’s house. After Quratul Ain’s family engaged her to a relative, the couple decided to elope and get married in court. Maher further said that it is clear that the killing of the woman was done in the name of honour and added that the couple was being threatened by relatives of the deceased, who had disowned her after she eloped. The officer also said that the woman was not pregnant and no arrests were made.

Qazi still not satisfied

Leader of Jamat e Islami, Mr Qazi hussain said on 19 March 2009 that long march was a failure. Now when the government has announced the restoration of deposed Judges specially Mr. Iftikhar, and whole nation is now a bit more relaxed not beacuse of the restoration, but cause of the bloodshed avoided by this popular decision by the govenrment it is not the first time we have seen Jamat e Islami going against the wind and creating issues from no where.
Calling it a complete failure has created some sort of disturbance once again in some minds and a common man is still confused what to happen next.
The question is, now when all are satisfied, why this Jamat e Islami is shouting about the issues which have no significance among the people. May be or it must be the guilt which they felt now by not taking the part in 2008 elections, cause as long as the present government runs, Jamat e Islami and other parties which boycott the elections would feel more guilt and ashamed of them seleves by not taking the part in 2008 historic elections.
May God bless Pakistan specially the province of Punjab which has been on the spot light from last 6 months as many politicians are trying to destabilzing the government and destabilizing Punjab could be very fruitful for such elements.

Prosperity in Pakistan. Admiration to CDGK.

I have never tried to write an email of this kind before. but today when i saw someone working for the betterment of the masses has encourage me . so i have decided to write an email to describe my feelings . its was like a dream come true which we even havnt seen . it was pending for some how i dont know the details but it was something meaningful for the people of landhi town. before today landhi was supposed to be cut of from other parts of karachi . and today i am glad its not anymore.

Concrete bridges is the most common thing you would notice in karachi . and these bridges has helped much for the developments of corridors and signal free zones in karachi .

Bridge of Malir river has provided residential and Financial area's of karachi a route to the Shahra-e-faisal and has reduced about 28 kilometer route. it has importance of its own kind Residents are now able to move through a short and safe way and financial sector can use this route for their carriers and can save fuel expenses.

The City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has solved the problems of city while carrying out fast paced development process in a very short period indeed . He has shortened the distance by reducing 28 km and now people of Korangi Town, Landhi Town and Shah Faisal Colony could reach the city centres within few minutes. this is the longest bridge ever built in country and would serve not only people of the surroundig areas but the industries in Korangi and Landhi wouyld also feel the comfort as the bridge has now connected two extremes of city where industries newtwork is present.

Today due to Mustafa kamal i feels like there isnt any difference between posh and local area's like mine . Prosperity has came to the people of Karachi .

in the end for being realistic and supporter of practicalism a special Thanks to the Leadership of MQM. for providing us such a enthusiastic Mayor who has made everything possible for karchites and its a prayer of a Responsible citizen May This Party and its leadership would be much more things like that for the betterment of the poor and middle class masses of this country .

May Allah Bless Them all.

Mehdi Hasan & Bounced Cheque of Shehbaaz Sharif.

A few weeks back the much acclaimed ghazal singer Mehdi Hasan fell critically ill and was admitted to Agha Khan Hospital for extensive treatment. Many people shared their passion for this gazal maestro to an extent that a few government dignitaries offered financial assistance to the ailing singer.

It is being reported that the President Asif Zardari and the chief minister of Sindh have provided Rs1 million and Rs250,000, respectively, for the treatment, while a cheque for Rs500,000 that was received from the Punjab government after the then chief minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Mr. Hasan at the hospital could not be cashed due to the imposition of the governor’s rule in the province. In the aftermath of these events, the bounced cheque did go through but during the time being Mehdi Hassan’s son was told to meet with the governor of Punjab [Salman Taseer] to ‘sort out the matter’

Arif Hasan, one of the sons of Ghazal Hasan said ‘My family, which has exhausted even its ‘rainy day securities’, is now badly failing to foot the treatment bills, we still have to pay an amount to the tune of about half a million rupees to the hospital on account of accommodation and treatment” that is in addition to meeting other expenditures incurred on Khan Sahib and his family

Its very sad to hear that the politics of our country had a direct impact on the workings of our government to have yet again failed to support our national hero’s. It is my genuine sense of sorrow that if our government cannot help, then might the people of Pakistan take matters into our own hands and help this family out of this crisis

Russian Support To The Muslim World.

BRUSSELS: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Saturday there was no proof that Iran is try to develop a nuclear weapon and urged the West to respect and reach out to the Islamic republic.

"There is no proof that Iran even has decided to make a bomb," he told the Brussels Forum conference, alongside EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, who on behalf of world powers has led talks to curb Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

Lavrov said the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), was best placed to monitor Iran's activities and establish whether it might try to covertly develop a weapon under the guise of a civilian programme.

"As long as the IAEA works in Iran, the IAEA monitors all these centrifuges which produce low enriched uranium for the fuel purpose" real concerns it may develop a bomb could be allayed, he said.

Uranium enrichment is used to make fuel for a nuclear reactor, but at highly refined levels it can serve to produce the core of an atomic weapon.

"To change it to the weapon grade uranium you need to do manipulations which would be immediately known by cameras," Lavrov said.

His comments came just after US President Barack Obama issued a video message to Iran, offering to open a new chapter in relations with the Islamic Republic. The two nations have not had diplomatic ties since 1980.

"Iran must be engaged as a constructive part of the solution and not of the problem," Lavrov said.

"It's negotiations, it's respect and it's engagement of Iran in all the areas ... including security dialogue with Iran on all the issues in the Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon."

Russia, a member of the United Nations Security Council, has generally resisted a more hard-line approach against Iran taken by former US president George W. Bush and is helping Tehran build a nuclear power station.

Obama’s global image & Pakistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Muhammad Aslam Raisani has said drone attacks in Balochistan will tarnish President Barack Obama’s global image.

“We do not have to panic about published reports about possible drone attacks. I will soon meet the American ambassador to convey our concerns to her. This issue would be brought to the attention of President Asif Ali Zardari and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi as well,” the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.

Raisani also claimed that Taliban leader Mullah Omar is hiding in Kandahar (Afghanistan), and not in Balochistan.

“If we are given any information about the presence of Taliban leaders, we will operate against them ourselves,” he said.

Raisani said he was not present during the meeting between US Ambassador to Pakistan Anne Patterson and Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi.

Referring to his efforts as a mediator between the PPP and the PML-N, Raisani said governor’s rule in Punjab would likely end in a few days.

He said former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif still enjoyed the support of a majority in the province.

No Indian involvement in Lahore attack: Sri Lanka

Colombo: Ending speculations in some quarters in Pakistan, Sri Lanka on Monday firmly said there was "no Indian involvement" in the terror attack on its cricketers in Lahore last week but said the Tamil rebellions could be involved.

"There is no Indian involvement (in the attack on cricketers in Lahore)," Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama told reporters.

"In fact, India has been helping us in our fight against terrorism. We have conveyed this to Pakistan," he said, adding that Islamabad investigating the attack has promised "an interim report on the investigation next week".

A team of 12 terrorists ambushed and sprayed bullets and fired rocket propelled grenades at the convoy carrying Sri Lankan players to the Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. The cricketers were to play the third day of the second and last Test against the host Pakistan Tuesday last week.

Seven players and the team's assistant coach were injured and six Pakistani police officials, who were providing protection to the bus carrying the players, were killed in the attack that shook the entire cricketing world.

Minister Bogollagama, however, maintained Sri Lanka's stand that the Tamil Tiger rebels' involvement in this attack cannot be ruled out.

"We are not ruling out links (of the attack) with the (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) LTTE. The LTTE are known to have links with international terrorist groups. Our initial suspicions are on the LTTE," Bogollagama said.

Sri Lanka's middle-order batsmen Thilakaratne Dilshan, who narrowly survived without injuries in the Lahore terror attack, has said the security cover for the two-match Test series was relatively relaxed when compared to the one-dayers they played in Pakistan a month before.

ANP’s Guns and Roses.

The National reconciliation between different political parties now days is the most prominent thing in country. ANP, which has gained two provincial seats in sindh, has changed the political scenario of Karachi and Sindh. Its almost impossible for other parties to do their campaign in in ANP’s dominated or occupied areas in Karachi.

An armed confrontation by the ANP activists on a rally of other political party . The clash took place at kati pahari close to shahrah-e-noor jahan police station on Wednesday evening. As the SHO abdul wahid said the clash erupted between MQM and Awami National party (ANP) workers when the MQM workers, Who were carrying out a rally , Stated putting up party flags in the area. When the clash erupted, heavy contingents of law enforcers reached the scene; however, they were unable to diffuse the situation as firing continued for hours in the area. As a result of the firing, four law enforcement personnel including ASI Zulfiqar, police constable Sher Ali, a Rangers’ personnel, Saleem, and three MQM workers sustained bullet wounds. The injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

This situation is nothing new in Karachi. The ANP dominated areas are almost no go area’s for other political parties. The media and majority TV channels in Pakistan exposed their real face. When they were asking media to give them proper coverage and ANP activist opened fire on the scene .

Talibans are established. President Pakistan

NEW YORK: The Taliban has established itself across a large part of Pakistan, forcing the country to fight a war against the hardline group that is about Pakistan's own survival, President Asif Zardari told CBS News.

‘(The Taliban) do have a presence in huge amounts of land in our side. Yes, that is the fact,’ Zardari told ‘60 Minutes’ in an interview to be broadcast on Sunday, excerpts of which were released on Friday.

US President Barack Obama said this week there was no doubt terrorists were operating in safe havens in the tribal regions of Pakistan, and the United States wanted to make sure Islamabad was a strong ally in fighting that threat.

Obama and Zardari spoke by telephone on Wednesday, the Pakistani foreign ministry said. The two discussed the surge in violence by al Qaeda and the Taliban, which has stepped up its insurgency against US forces and the Afghan government.

Zardari said Pakistan had been in denial about the Taliban in the past. ‘Our forces weren't increased .... We have weaknesses and they are taking advantage of that weakness,’ he said.

‘We're not doing anybody a favor,’ Zardari said. ‘We are aware of the fact it's ... Taliban... trying to take over the state of Pakistan’.

‘So, we're fighting for the survival of Pakistan. We're not fighting for the survival of anybody else.’

Zardari rejected suggestions that he lacks the full support of the military and intelligence services, saying he was confident they were behind him.

‘If that wasn't the case, then Islamabad would have fallen because obviously if the army doesn't do its job, these men are not restricted. They've blown up the Marriott Hotel before. They've attacked us inland before. They would be all around us, wouldn't they?’ he said.

Destabilizing Policy of PML-N

After two years of political insurgency the long march for the rule of the law and independence of judiciary has ended. The Prime Minister of Pakistan himself has reinstated the deposed judges along with iftikhar mohammed chaudry and Government has also endorsed a review on disqualification of Miyan mohammed nawaz shareef .

The dust is not yet settled as the Former Law minister of Punjab stated while he was addressing the media on Tuesday warning the Governor Punjab Rana Sana Ullah said if the Fed Govt would not lift Governor rule from Province Punjab then PML-N members of the provincial parliament along with workers and activist would launch another march and besiege of Governor house Punjab.

This hypocrite political action of PML-N is leading country no where, but only in Destabilizing process of democracy in Pakistan. Which has came to Pakistan after a long period . The party should show their majority to end the governor rule in Punjab rather then challenging the writ of the Government and literally threatening a Government office bearer to leave his office. Which is truly a undemocratic way.

Imran Khan has met with Harry Reid and other US politicians to rally support for his anti Musharraf movement. He also spoke at the Harvard Club in New York."After meeting Mr Khan, Senator Reid called for the US President, George Bush, to to consider reducing non-development aid to Pakistan if the upcoming elections were not free and fair". Khan's party is planning to tell people to stay away from the Pakistani elections According to a PR put out by his party in 2003:

"Reacting to Gen. Musharraf's claim that the politicians criticizing his
policies know nothing about policy and national interests he challenged General Musharraf to live TV debate on national issues and let the people decide. The PTI Chief stated in the 80s the West sanctified Jihad and we proudly pursued it as an instrument of state policy. Today, Jihad is being portrayed as terrorism by the establishment on the directives of the West.

Imran Khan's instigation of last years Koran flush rumor riots have earned him his street creds by the Taliban supporting MMA. Khan's new partnership of his party Tehrik-e- Insaf together with the pro Taliban MMA prove that his transformation from Westernised millionaire playboy crickeer to radical Islamist 'fundi' is now complete. His divorce from UK born billionaire's daughter wife may have to do with the fact that Khan's new cronies believe that women belong in burqas locked up at home, and his ex's Jewish father was considered a political liability.

It was Imran Khan, the anti Musharraf politician, called a press conference to draw attention to the Koran flushing rumor. He was a recent speaker at the Islamist Conference in Toronto entitled "Reviving the Islamic Spirit". Muslims returning to the US from the conferences are suing the DHS for 'profiling' after being fingerprinted and interrogated at the border .

The Oxford educated ex cricketer/playboy who was married to a Jewish billionaire's daughter, Jemima Khan, and became a 'born again Muslim' as a result of the Rushdie affair . Khan recently divorced his wife (who is now dating actor Hugh Grant), and formed a political party Tehreek - e- Insaaf, and reinvented himself as an anti Western 'man of the people' advocating the overthrow of Musharref and the establishment of an Islamic welfare state in Pakistan. Khan has a lot to gain from formenting unrest among the masses in Pakistan, which could lead to a popular uprising fueled by anti American sentiment and result in the collapse of Musharref's American backed government. His broadcasting of the false Koran story was a deliberate attempt to incite protests, and garner publicity for himself and his party.

His ex wife helped organize a protest in London against Musharraf's government.

MIM: In 2004 Khan spoke in an interview ;

"... about the anger in the Muslim world caused by the US campaign against Afghanistan.

He said: "The government actually is very close to the US right now. The problem is that the US policy, the foreign policy is causing resentment not only in Pakistan, but in most of the Muslim world."

"Unless that foreign policy is changed I always feel that the citizens of the United States will become targets. They haven't done anything to alleviate this hatred. The hatred is increasing." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/2056431.stm

MIM: According to NPR:

January 25, 2008 · A former cricket star who leads one of Pakistan's minority parties spent time in Washington this week meeting with lawmakers and speaking out against U.S. support of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.

Imran Khan, an international celebrity since his days as a sports star, leads a much smaller party than that of Benazir Bhutto, the leader who was killed last month. But in Pakistan, he's nearly as well known as Bhutto.

And he says that next month's elections there won't be real, if they happen at all.

Musharraf removed the independent judges who would referee them. Yet Khan knows the president remains a U.S. ally in the war on terrorism.

"Gen. Musharraf has done a brilliant PR job here where he has convinced the people that he is one man holding these hordes of terrorists, the bastion against these extremists...." Khan says.

In an effort to change that image of Musharraf, Khan met this week with U.S. congressional leaders and spoke before audiences at a Washington think tank, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and at the National Press Club.

Invaders from the North and Fear of Taliban Taking Control of Pakistan

Invaders from the North never really stopped: Ever since the middle ages, the plains of the Indian Sub-continent have been the happy hunting grounds of successive waves of organized bands of marauders from Central Asia. They came basically with a view to loot and plunder, and then go back laden with booty to their impoverished hills, and rag-a-tag settlements, and a few years later, some local chief would organize them again, and travel through the Khyber Pass for yet another fray. Some stayed back, and founded empires in India, which were vibrant for a generation or more, but then the agricultural fecundity of the area, and the hot climate got to them, making them rich, and consequently indolent. They in a generation or three ended up as sitting ducks to be cleaned out by bands of desperate men, who had little to lose except their lives. And so the cycle kept repeating itself for a thousand years. To avert this oft-repeated mayhem, some rulers of India attempted to check it by building defensive systems in the northwest. But these were half hearted at best and generally ineffective. So the raids from Central Asia continue, and continue to date.

Among these conquerors of India, the exceptions were the British, who came and went back by sea routes. The British never intended to settle in the subcontinent from day one, and their sole aim was the enrichment of Mother England. So what they did was to find political accommodation with the powers in the north-west. Compromise is cheaper than conflict.

This is the gist of Indian history in 250 words.

Post-partition scenario: This well known pattern went out of sync with the self-rule granted to the people of India by the British in 1947. The elected representatives of the NWFP voted against joining the State of Pakistan, whereas in a referendum which was ordered, the people of the NWFP including those residing in the present day FATA voted to be part of this country. At that time the Governor General of the young country agreed that the laws and customary systems of governance shall not be amended in any manner. The FATA tribesmen took part in the Kashmir operations of 1948, and generally continued to be a favorite of the establishment, because they asked for nothing in return for being left alone to get on with their rather primitive way of life. In addition, they guarded the western border which, called the Durand Line, provided the establishment in Pakistan with much flawed policy of “strategic depth.”

(and) the Soviet invasion: Therefore, a tacit accommodation continued till the then USSR invaded Afghanistan in the 1970s, and the Pakistan Government felt extremely uneasy fearing that this country would be next in line as it was in the way of the Russian advance to the warm waters. (Recently released government papers in Moscow debunk this fear, as at that point in time there was no plan to invade Pakistan). Pakistan liaised with comrade-in-arm USA, and mounted a huge effort since titled the Afghan Jihad. The Russians were driven out from Afghanistan, but the war tore asunder the FATA area which just happened to be in the forefront because of its geographical location. To motivate the youngster to become warriors, the GOP-USG decided to play the Islamic Card. They quietly confiscated political power from the tribal elders who had kept things from falling apart for decades, and created a class of even more powerful Mullahs. Most of the old-time Maliks have since been killed and political power in the FATA today is in the blood-stained talons of the worst kind of fascist oligarchs. The State of Pakistan and her Western allies share the responsibility of creating the Frankenstein called militant and violent Jihadist.

Quick rundown on Taliban: The Taliban initially was a set of impoverished Afghan youth who were taken in as internally displaced persons along with the other three million who took refuge in Pakistan after the invasion of Afghanistan by the Russians. These young men, and women, were trained in the religious laws, and indoctrinated to return to Afghanistan and fight and drive out the “pagans.” So, a quasi-political party was born which took over the southern part of Afghanistan after the retreat of the USSR consequent to the Geneva Accords of 1979. The Taliban government in Afghanistan is distinguished for the brutality with which it established their writ. Such was the cruel dispensation that even Nadir Shah, famed in the annals of history as a tyrant, would have been aghast. The Taliban regime was recognized only by three countries viz. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The Taliban rule in Afghanistan was harsher than any other that the hapless country had seen before, and she had seen many tyrants, despots, and similarly unstable rulers. The Taliban went into a frenzy of public executions, stoning to death, arbitrary imprisonment, and public lashings. They created kangaroo courts, gave out special laws edicts. The rights of women and children were trampled underfoot, and a feared regime established in a few months. The country became a safe haven for Al-Qaeda, and thousands of young males who came in to strengthen the hands of the Taliban, who had purportedly liberated a citadel of Islam from the “godless Russians” and “evil empire.” These young males were from all over the Islamic world, and Central Asia. They were valued guests of the regime, lived in style, married into local families, and over the years, became “local.”

This in short establishes the profile and pedigree of the present day tormentors called Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Post September 11, 2001: By the time 9/11 happened, the regime in Afghanistan was in control and very rich from all kind of smuggling and trafficking, which they legitimized through fatwa as legitimate trade. Large amounts of money came from the Middle East, both state and private funds. At this time, the Americans attacked, and Pakistan withdrew its support. The regime crumpled like a house of cards without offering any resistance. The Taliban were regular visitors to the FATA area, and many had families and homes here. The Durand Line was the divide between safety or death, and therefore, the leadership of the Taliban, and many al-Qaeda elements sought refuge in our FATA. They brought with them large funds, international connections, and a lot of heavy armament.

This amalgam gave rise to two distinct movements:

1. One was the TTP which decided to take revenge from the State of Pakistan for abandoning their cousins to the Americans
2. Others who organized to go back and reclaim its kingdom in Afghanistan.

The former are mainly attacking the institutions of the State of Pakistan, while the latter are training, regrouping, and making hit and run raids on US and Allied Forces inside Afghanistan.

Taliban’s geographical control and governance methodology: The TTP has had resounding success as it indirectly controls or influences nearly 50% of the NWFP. The seven agencies of the FATA and the seven districts of Malakand Division are more or less run by the various chapters of the TTP. This ascendancy was facilitated by the MMA government which ruled the NWFP from 2003 to 2008. The TTP rules through fear and what they did was replicate the Taliban tactics of governance in Afghanistan and now hold sway over a cowering population abandoned by the State of Pakistan. Decapitations, headless bodies hanging from poles, whipping in public and similar acts of brutality are commonplace. Any departure from edicts issued by the high command is swiftly and surely punished.

All granted but Taliban still cannot take over Islamabad: The TTP cannot “occupy” Islamabad and Pakistan because:

* The control they exercise in the FATA and Malakand is forced. At any time that their critical mass explodes, the tribal Lashkars will come and drive them underground. This has happened recently.
* Political control is ensured when the urban centers fall and Taliban do not have the numbers and the capacity to become strong enough to “invade” further down South.
* Guerrilla warfare is successful in rural areas and the terrain that of FATA and Swat. Towns and large cities are defended better.
* The TTP is hated by the vast majority of Pakistanis, and this they know. They may carry out terrorist activities here and there but they cannot get themselves organized.
* Islamabad is very important to world powers and the General Headquarter of Pakistan Army. Both of these will not permit any symbolic demise of and challenge to the political and constitutional power that the Federal Capital is all about.

Food for thought: Pakistan has become a highly militarized society since 1979. For 21 years until 2001, the State’s security and intelligence apparatus systematically supported the Wahabi school of thought as this segment within Islam provided the Mujahideen against infidels. Wahabis and their closest ideological brothers, Deobandis, have the biggest network of mosques and Madrasas in all major towns of Pakistan. If the Lal Masjid in Islamabad is any example to go by, these places of worship are expected to be heavily armed. So the TTP which is somehow connected to these mosques can have a great deal of civic disturbance created. This could only be prevented with a unified security policy that goes beyond the “bullet in the barrel” and involves politics backed by strong economic mainstreaming. Another reason for Taliban’s “success” is the hunger, poverty and deprivation of the areas where they operate. The Pakistani State and its Western allies must bear in mind that hungry, poor and deprived people cannot be happy people.

Women's day celebration in Swat

8Th of March is usually known as Women's day. All over the world they celebrated it and organize differnet seminars, debates and workshops regarding Women. So do in Pakistan. We also celebrate the day as any other civilized and developed country.
Many Women today are very popular regarding their efforts for equal rights of women and men. But nobody not even a single women raised her voice for the rights of those women who were burnt alive in Lahore, nobody raised voice for women who were buried alive by some renowned politicians of BALOCHISTAN and even now those big wigs are enjoying their tenure in Balochistan not even a single Human rights champion neither the Islamic terrorist wing raised voice against them.

1. How many of us raise our voice for the women oppressed daily at their homes by brother, husband etc.
2. Have we ever protested against Feudal lords and Chaudhries who demands for young girls in place of money and land.
3. In our country at the eve of “Womens day” when the elite class was enjoying their speeches in P.C, another innocent lady Jameela khatoon was killed by her husband and the reason was NOTHING.
4. Our judges raise their voice for their personal interest but they never raise their voice and don’t even consider the cases of innocent people who wait for years for the hearing of their cases.
5. What about those who burn their faces after rapes.
6. A blind teacher got killed in SWAT for teaching the Holy Quran to young girls.
7. We have forgotten that a daughter is a BLESSING of Allah, we use them as a symbol of advertisement.

Our Media and human rights activists claim to be the representative of the majority of population but they are not focusing on these issues of women.

The majority of schools and colleges have been destroyed or either closed after the “Taaliban Shariah” imposed over there. Is this the Islamic shariah? Are women not allowed to study? According to sources more than 200 girls school have been burnt or destroyed by the Extremist in swat valley and other suburbs. Will this regime of terrorism and extremism be ended before we reach the DOOM’S DAY.

We all know:
“It is obligatory for both men and women to get education”

Our Religion ISLAM tells us the way of living a prosperous and peaceful life by enjoying the blessings and teachings of ISLAM in its true essence. But we abruptly mould those for our personal interest. The Orders of Allah and the teachings of Our Beloved HOLY PROPHET (S.A.W) teaches us not to be divided, not to create panic, not to kill, not to see your personal interest. Islam teaches us brotherhood, quality and justice which is the right of both men and women.

So its now upto us, these religious extremists are continousely destroying the image of Islam. They kill womens, they raped them, they sell them, they burnt them alive, and no one is there to stop them. We can just celebrate Women's day once an year in our Urban Areas, but no one have guts to go and visit those rural areas and ask those extremists what reason they got. I think if we still do not take any step against those forces then we would be considered as a part of them, and by doing this we are exploiting the name of Islam.

GOVERNMENT APPROVED TALIBANIZATION

SWAT three years back you might had known this place the Switzerland of Pakistan. But now is more than Kabul. Swat is facing insurgency from last one year. Maulana Fazlulah the warlord is most known person and the leader of Talibans in Pakistan is fighting with the Armed forces. And the Demand is implementation of shariya law in Swat and nearby Regions.

The demand was never condemnable but Taliban’s who need no introduction is claiming shariya law of their own kind a license to kill any one cutting their head off the body.Several cases isbeen noticed of killing innocent people without justification of being declared Guilty.

Swat the most literate region of NWFP has no more schools open. About hundred of school is being targeted by the Talibans and they said they wont allow any un islamic type of education in the region and education is being declared Haram.

The Government of Pakistan took step against operation against the Tahreek Taliban after the broken treaty with the talibans. And Fazlulah Kept fighting the Armed force for months thousands of school went closed and Journalist being Tortured and killed. But the Forces failed to implement the writ of the Government and went to the Table of dialogue.

Sufi Mohammed Father in law of Maulana Fazlulah has played a vital rule for the implementation of shariya rule in SWAT. Leader of Tahreek nifaaz-e-Mohammadi it was his aim to implement shariya law in the region and he used Fazlulah as a pressure group for the Government. Government of Pakistan with the allies in NWFP has agreed to implement shariya law in swat . Talibans has demanded armed forces to leave the region and Governement has asked Sufi mohammed to maintain peace and after that Shariya law will be implemented.

This Government approved Talibanization doesn’t felt weird in Tribal region. But by accepting Talibans demands Government is encouraging their intentions and wills. Talibans is not problem in tribal areas . their activities in rural , urban areas of Pakistan can also be seen easily , From Islamabad to Karachi Taliban is doing their suspicious activities specially in Karachi And Maulvi umer has deliberately admitted the presence of Talibans in Karachi . Lal Masjid dispute of Lahore , Rural areas of Punjab and Urban Areas of Sindh are filled with suspicious talibans activities .

In Future if we would face the same situation like swat in Rural areas of Punjab Urban parts of NWFP and urban rural areas of Sindh do this Governement would agree on taliban demands for the implementation of Shariya law in these areas as well. I personally feel the treaty of Swat a disastrous start of Talibanization of Pakistan. If today we wont think about it then may be tomorrow our next Generation would not have any school for their education.

Creeping Talibanisation is now a reality

The primary theatre of battle may still be North and South Waziristan, as evidenced by the Pakistani Taliban’s recent bloody assault on the settled town of Tank that borders the tribal areas. But the events of the last few days in Islamabad are more disturbing in some ways, suggesting as they do that creeping Talibanisation is now a reality across the country. Indeed the Lal Masjid brigade, as it has come to be known, has every right to celebrate. Tuesday’s showdown with the police was its second major success of the year. First its women’s wing, comprising hundreds of burqa-clad and baton-wielding students, occupied a children’s library in the federal capital in January.
Now both the men’s and women’s wings of this emerging brand of the Pakistani Taliban have started to impose new rules of morality by forcibly shutting down video and music shops in Islamabad, and by abducting women whom they believe are engaged in ‘immoral’ activities.

Situated in an area where the prime minister’s secretariat and seat of power is on one side, and the headquarters of the country’s premier intelligence agency, the ISI, on the other, Lal Masjid and its adjacent Hafsa madressah have not only managed to enforce the Taliban-style system of ‘moral policing’ in matters of ‘vice and virtue’, to date they remain in control of the situation.

But who are these people, and why are the government and the security services finding it so hard to enforce the rule of law? Is it that the government really wants to avoid bloodshed because hundreds, if not thousands, of women are part of this violent brigade? Or is it a reflection of some kind of infighting in the establishment where one faction still has a soft corner for their former Islamist allies?

Probably both.

Joint Head Militancy JI and PTI

The Current Political Situation of Pakistan, The Extremist right hand political parties of Pakistan are prolonging rifts among the democratic government of two major political parties of Pakistan since a long time. Remember these parties lost elections badly and the people of Pakistan refused their agenda’s.

In the current political scenario these parties in the name of independence of judiciary has abused the current judiciary for their own political goals. From years these parties has supported the Taliban and Islamic extremist militants in FATA, NWFP and its nearby region. Qazi Hussein Ahmed Jamat-e-Islami and the Cricketer turned politician Imran khan’s Tahreek-e-Insaaf are top of the list.

These parties do continuously condemn bombing safe heavens of Taliban’s by drones and are spreading hatred in the people. These parties also criticized the action of armed force for the writ of the Government in swat and bajour . As the armed forces tried to impose and killed Talibans.

Qazi Hussain ahmed’s Jamat-e-ismali relations with the afghan jihad warlord Hikmat yaar are not hidden to anyone. Since a long time the young activist’s of Jamat-e-Islami related to different factions of JI such as Shabab-e-mili , PASBAN and Jamiat Tulba Islam were training young activist’s in Jamat-ud-dawa camps. Meanwhile Imran khan’s preaching’s against the armed forces of Pakistan to the youngster’s are on the record. Campaign’s in Cyber world and in media is being launched by tahreek-e-insaaf as a propaganda tool against the armed forces.

The Lahore attackers arrestments from a student hostel have roots to this propaganda and militancy. There are concern’s that the some of the trained militants of Jamat-e-islami or tahreek-e-insaaf may would try to ruined the Democratic government in Pakistan using the Protest rally’s for their sick goals . So a democratic government in Pakistan after such a long time can be ended for their extremist ideological goals of handing Pakistan to Talibans. The joint heads of these TWO controversial parties is a threat to National Security.
